MY LITTLE EYE

With Sean CW Johnson, Kris Lemche, Stephen O'Reilly, Laura Regan
Directed by Marc Evans

The reality TV show phenomenon and its potential deadly extremes has been pre-empted even before it broke in recent years, with films like
The Prize Of Peril and The Running Man, more recently the great Series 7 taking it to the next lethal level. This scenario places a group of young people in an isolated house for a Big Brother-style web broadcast. They have to stay there for six months, no matter what. If no-one leaves, they all win $1 million - if somebody bails, they all lose. It becomes evident that the agitated participants will start turning up dead. Cliché American 20-somethings possibly getting knocked off may well be a familiar scenario, but the filmmakers manage to maintain an edge. Eventually it becomes a whodunnit, but there are a few surprises. A great soundtrack by Bias contributes greatly to the enhancement of the eerie mood.
