As you know by now, each year our South African Horror Festacular has a theme.
2005 had a Zombie slant.
2006 will be the year of the Vampire.
Don't expect wall-to-wall vampire movies though, as the other wide ranges within the genre won't be neglected - click here for the line-up

The Labia Theatre (Orange Str., Gardens, Cape Town) will again be the place to congregate, this time packed into the weekend of 27-30 October, as opposed to being stretched out over a week.

This year the best locally made short movie entry will not only walk off with the brand new Horror Fest trophy award, but also get a 5 day, R12.000 High Definition rental package for their next project!

If you've made a short with horror /chiller / thriller / freaky elements, plan to do so, or know someone who has (or wants to), don't hesitate to get it on and send it through (closing date is Friday 13 October 2006). Live action, animation, music... nothing is barred. International shorts will also be screened this year. Movies must not exceed 30 minutes, and please do not include copyrighted visuals or music without relevant permission.
